WEEKLY SONGWRITING SESSIONS (10 ONE HOUR SESSIONS PER TERM)
Do you have a musical child who loves singing, music and thinking creatively? Then make sure they join our exciting songwriting clubs run by inspiring professional songwriters. Each songwriting group has only 4 pupils for plenty of one to one time. There are fun and stretching songwriting briefs to spark ideas and the Song Academy team help with developing lyrics, melodies and composition. The end of term gigs are very special events.
Each term members will write at least one song and develop their musicality and ability to powerfully express themselves. Parents tell us that the number one benefit from being part of Song Academy is the positive impact on their child’s confidence and self-esteem. Young people tells us that the number one benefit of being part of Song Academy is the sense of community and ability to accelerate their songwriting & production skills.
Songwriting programmes are tailored for the different songwriting groups (from beginners to advanced and by age).
For online songwriting clubs we use Zoom and the Soundtrap (songwriting/music production app) to create an engaging experience.
Songwriting clubs run for the following age groups: 8-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds, 13-15 year olds and 16-18 year olds on different days of the week and at 4:45-5:45pm or 5:45-6:45pm.

Our songwriting clubs are a unique creative outlet to help young people find their voice, strengthen their mental health and develop crucial life skills. The creative songwriting process not only advances lyrical & musical skills but develops confidence and social skills, like creativity, emotional intelligence, empathy, listening, curiosity and inter-personal skills.
For one hour a week our members are part of a songwriting journey with a small group of peers and the Song Academy team of professional songwriters. Term on term they will build an album of songs to treasure forever, as well as make friends and meet future collaborators.
Testimonials. From some of our participants and their parents.
Song Academy gives me an opportunity to express my feelings through song more effectively. I already enjoyed song-writing before but with the encouragement and guidance of the Song Academy team, I feel much more confident and I love performing at the end of term Gigs!
India, aged 14
It’s been an incredible journey of discovery & given me so many new ideas of how to extend myself. I’ve made great out of school friends with like-minded people and we spark creative ideas off each other.
Ella, aged 15
